The AIM Institute's Advanced Tech Leaders Academy is an annual management course for technology professionals. The program consists of one full day of training each month for seven months (October 2024 – May 2025). Each session focuses on a common on-the-job issue faced by tech managers.

To address this growing need, AIM and its business members have collaborated to create the annual Advanced Tech Leaders Academy. The goal of the academy is to enhance leadership skills that are essential for current and upcoming tech managers.

Advanced Tech Leaders will consist of an orientation, seven full-day sessions (one per month) and a graduation ceremony.
The Advanced Tech Leaders academy schedule has been set for the 2024/2025 cohort. This program will have sessions from October 2024 through May 2025.

Participation: Class size is limited. A Selection Committee chooses participants based on the applicant’s leadership potential, motivation, ability to identify and meet IT challenges and interest in the program. The application deadline for the 2024-2025 cohort is August 31, 2024. AIM membership is NOT required to apply. However, AIM membership is required to be a member of the Leadership Academy. If selected for the class and your organization is not a member of AIM, the membership team will make contact and a membership agreement, with fees, is required prior to orientation. Participants will not be permitted to begin the program without a current AIM membership.
In order for participants to receive a full refund, they must withdraw before Orientation. Participants who withdraw from the program during the period spanning the Orientation in October through the first session in November will be refunded at a rate of 50%. If withdrawal occurs after November 1, participants will be obligated to AIM for the full tuition amount. Refunds will be generated within 30 business days of receipt of the written notice of withdrawal.
Prior to October 4th, 2025: 100%
October 4th to November 3rd, 2024: 50%
After November 1, 2024: 0%
Applications will be accepted from individuals working in the Omaha metro area even though the program itself accommodates hybrid work arrangements. A Selection Committee selects participants based on the Information provided on their application form, criteria for selection includes leadership potential, motivation, ability to identify and meet IT challenges and interest in the program. The class size is limited. October 3, 2023 is the application deadline for the 2024-2025 session. Applicants will be notified of their selection into the Advanced Tech Leaders Academy shortly afterward. Applicants are encouraged to reapply the following year if they are not selected.
