University of Nebraska Omaha – College of Information Science and Technology

The University of Nebraska Omaha’s College of Information Science and Technology (IS&T) offers students a challenging program in a number of different technology-related fields. Students will benefit from the college’s commitment to balance emerging disciplines with the bedrock fundamentals of information technology.


Creighton University – Department of Journalism, Media, and Computing

Creighton’s Department of Journalism, Media, and Computing (JM&C) is comprised of disciplines related to the skills needed for jobs in the “information age.” Within this department is the Computer Science & Informatics major, in which students will gain knowledge and skills pertaining to today’s information technology jobs.


Bellevue University – College of Science and Technology

Bellevue’s College of Science and Technology (CST) program offers students an active learning experience tailored to the demands of today’s IT workforce. In particular, this program specializes in networking, programming, and database classes that provide the latest technologies at the right time.


Metropolitan Community College (Omaha Campus) – Information & Office Technology

MCC’s Information & Office Technology program offers several different areas of focus within the IT discipline, ranging from Cisco Networking to Web Development.


Iowa Western Community College (IWCC)

Working toward an Associate in Arts degree, you’ll be able to choose from these four options: Application Programming, Computer Networking, Web Programming, and E-Commerce. This is an exciting new program that will help you develop a broad general education base and gain knowledge in information technology. You’ll be able to take classes on a full-time or part-time basis, and scholarships are available.


Purdue University Global

At Purdue Global, you can earn an information technology degree online in growth areas such as cybersecurity, network administration, or project management. Build your technical and business skills while developing a foundation for industry certifications.


University of Nebraska Lincoln – Raikes

Courses of study include Computer Science, with a curriculum focused on the application of software design and development to solve complex problems; and Innovation, the synthesis of Computer Science and Management infused with Model and Design Thinking.


Midland University

The Business Intelligence & Technology (BIT) major at Midland provides students with the opportunity to learn about using technology that can move business forward. BIT majors will learn about programming, customer service, networking, and cybersecurity and technology’s role in the business workplace to understand the vital role that it plays in the bigger picture. Students in this major go into jobs as Business Analysts, Help Desk Technicians, Programmers, and more.


Doane University

Doane’s Computer Science program provides students with the technical and theoretical competency to prepare them to enter the industry in software development or information technology-related areas. What distinguishes Doane graduates from their peers graduating from other schools are the essential non-technical competencies cultivated through the active-learning emphasis and liberal-arts focus of Doane.

The Nebraska Educational Technology Association exists for the purpose of providing leadership and promoting the application of technology to the educational process. Its span of interest includes all levels and aspects of education.


Educator Internships

The internship program is designed for area teachers, counselors or administrators to experience hands-on work that their students are typically seeking for employment. This experience will help to enhance classroom instruction for students while fostering partnerships between school and business.
