This interactive 8-hour course satisfies the Part 46 minimum hours of refresher training each year required for miners working on surface mines. The training addresses health and safety subjects that are relevant to mining operations and changes at the mine that could impact the miner's health or safety. This course includes, but is not limited to, an overview of surface mining, health hazards in mining, hazard communication, mining machinery and equipment, materials handling and storage, and mining health and safety standards.
