Data for Public Good: Addressing Homelessness Through Health Data

CyncHealth and the Health and Housing Coalition have teamed up to utilize health data to address homelessness to support medical respite. This presentation will share a little about CyncHealth and the Health and Housing Coalition. It will describe the lessons learned and why partnerships exemplified here can support the health of vulnerable populations. Medical Respite care is provided for people experiencing homelessness who cannot stay in a hospital and who will not recover well on the streets. This presentation explores the concept of medical respite and the stakeholders involved. It also explores the concept of using data for the benefit of the public, reinforcing the unique position that health information exchanges are in to benefit the populations of a state or region.
