Totally Cool Math and Science Combo 3 – 4

· Grades 3 – 4 ONLY

· Cost: $200

· This is the same camp offered each time.

Experience being inside a bubble! Begin to explore the exciting worlds of Science and Math through sound, light and color! Make tessellation t-shirts. M&M Math, bubbles, pitch, mirrors and color top the list of activities. Solve puzzles and play with time. Play Egyptian Baseball! Make oobleck and get MESSY!

*Earth Science - What Rocks Our Earth

· Grades 4 – 5

· Cost: $210

If you like to dig for rocks and fossils, this is for you! You will visit Schramm Park for a fossil dig. Discover what geologists do and make a stratigraphic model. Learn how to identify minerals, create artesian wells and study river systems using the university’s stream table. Earth Science will really rock you!

EV3 Engineering I

· Grades 4 – 5

· Cost: $210

This camp uses LEGO™ Mindstorms Education EV3 to build, program and test solutions using the EV3 Intelligent brick. Brainstorming creative solutions to engineering situations using rotation, light, ultrasonic and touch sensors, students practice collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Understanding Electricity

· Grades 4 – 5

· Cost: $200

Investigate the concepts of energy and electricity using snap circuits, experiments and activities. An Omaha Public Power District expert visits to discuss electricity basics. Put your knowledge to the test and electrify a city using Micro:Bits!

3D Printing for Tomorrow

· Grades 6 – 8

· Cost: $210

Campers in this camp design paper living habitats made for future moon bases, then design their habitats to fit 3D digital standards. Astronauts are heading to the Moon and Mars; they may use the food storage prototypes you design! Drawing digitally in a 3D program is a highlight of the camp. Campers will also use various techniques to design and print in 3D.

EV3 Engineering I

Forensic Science

· Grades 6 – 8

· Cost: $210

Forensic Science is all about criminal investigation! Use your observational skills and logical thinking to study codes and code breaking, osteology and entomology. Learn all about hair samples, blood spatters and fingerprints. Use software to create composite facial sketches.

GIS – Mapping Today’s World

· Grades 6 – 8

· Cost: $200

A unique camp, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) uses as remote sensing data from satellites, GPS, computer technology and geographic data to produce extremely precise maps in entertaining and enlightening ways. GEOcaching and map making will highlight this camp!

*Zoology

· Grades 6 – 8

· Cost: $210

How do adaptations determine where animals live? Visit Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Wildlife Safari Park to study how to create habitats to support healthy animals. Participate in activities and learn the science of the zoo.
