As clinicians respond to the pandemic, we recognize the most important priority is ensuring patients get needed care. During this time, however, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) continues updating the Quality Payment Program (QPP). To avoid knowledge gaps, we will highlight changes to the QPP in 2021 and discuss the role of Qualified Clinical Data Registries (QCDR) in performance. CMS is proposing additions to the QPP framework to make strides towards Alternative Payment Models (APM). As part of the QPP changes in 2021, CMS will be sunsetting the CMS Web Interface and reducing the number of measures required to be reported by Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). The presentation will review importance of data quality, data completeness, and quality improvement for positive payment adjustment and organization longevity.
