Free Intro to JavaScript class : Student Application (Summer 2023)

This summer, Mystery Code Society is offering Intro to JavaScript at Improving (1303 S 72nd St #201, Omaha, NE 68124) for middle and high school students of marginalized genders. Participants do NOT need prior coding experience OR a computer of their own to take this class.

This 7 week course meets at 1303 S 72nd St #201, Omaha, NE 68124 on Sundays from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, from June 4 - July 16, 2023. This class is in person.

This application is due by May 23rd. Eligible applicants: This class is for middle and high school students of marginalized gender.

Learning Outcomes

In Mystery Code Society’s Intro to JavaScript course, students will learn fundamentals of code in JavaScript including:
- data types and variable assignments
- loops
- conditionals
- functions
- callbacks and asynchronous functions
And they will build their own game in p5.js!
