Construction 101 Certification Program

The Construction 1010 Certification Program provides a unique opportunity for those with limited to no prior experience in the Construction Industry. Receive the foundational training needed to step into a new career that offers excellent pay and benefits.

Classes will be held on 7-10 consecutive weeks starting August 27th, 2022

Breakfast: 7:30-8:00am
Class: 8:00am-12:00pm

Location: ABC Training Center

Requirements:
- Maintain positive & professional attitude & Communication
- 10 week commitment to the program
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work in confined space
- Able to work over head
- Attend and participate in all classes
- Attend job fair the last day of class
- Basic English Skills

The NCCER Core Curriculum is a prerequisite to all other level 1 craft curriculum. The Core curriculum includes Basic Safety, Introduction to Construction Math, Introduction to Hand Tools, Introduction to Power Tools, Introduction to Construction Drawings, Introduction to Basic Rigging, Basic Communication Skills, Basic Employability Skills and Introduction to Material Handling.

OSHA 10 Hour Construction
This course provides the worker with an overview of the safety applications on a construction site or in general industry and increases awareness and understanding of governmental regulations and applications to the trade practices. All certificates received are issued directly from the OSHA Training Institute Outreach Program and meet every application to the OSHA requirements currently in place. Required for all construction job sites

First Aid/CPR/AED
You will learn how to respond to situation that require adult CPR/AED and basic safety. Your skills walking way will include how to handle medical emergencies, burns, rescue techniques and how to treat for shock exposure. This is a required certification on most commercial job sites.
