Help Me Grow Nebraska Paid Graduate Student Assistantship Opportunity

An offering by Minority Health Disparities Initiative

Project overview: Help Me Grow is a comprehensive, population-level, evidence-based approach design to address gaps in early childhood systems of support. The primary goal of HMG-Nebraska is to build local infrastructure to focus on increasing quality, availability, and families’ access to excellent early learning programs, and expand supports and resources for child growth and development. Specifically, the UNL team is leading data collection and analysis for the project implementation and evaluation.

The student will assist with: field data collection using interview, focus group, and survey; analyzing the qualitative data using qualitative research tools (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA); managing and analyzing quantitative data; disseminating evaluation findings; communicating with stakeholders; participating in meetings. We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to take leadership roles. Preference will be given to students with/interest in public-health background, minority health-disparities, early childhood, and family-community engagement, and working knowledge and skills in basic to moderate quantitative method.
