Siembra Nebraska Internship

An offering by Latino Center of the Midlands

Siembra Nebraska provides internships for local high school and college students in urban agriculture, multimedia, business, construction, public health, and more.

In our 5 different internship programs, interns are able to develop leadership skills through the on-the-job experience and mentorship opportunities

Siembra Carreras (Growing Careers)
Through this summer internship program, students have the opportunity to work for organizations and businesses that align to the intern’s career interest. This allows the intern to better understand their future career choice and allows businesses a mentorship opportunity.

Siembra Construction (Growing Construction)
This program aims to prepare students for a smooth transition into the construction industry. Students will develop skills in demolition, remodeling, project management, and more.

Siembra Medios (Growing Media)
Interns learn the ins and outs of social media, content creation, videography, public relations, and other skills related to communications and marketing

Siembra Raices (Growing Roots)
This internship program provides students a hands-on experience in the agriculture industry, both in urban and rural settings. Students are placed at an outdoor organization that aligns with their career interests.

Siembra Salud (Growing Health)
Students work alongside the Latino Center’s Family and Community Well-Being’s Siembra Salud program, and are introduced to the multiple facets of the Public Health field. Qualified students may also have the opportunity to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA).
