An offering by Nebraska Alliance for Conservation and Environment Education

Designed to meet the needs of Nebraska's conservation, environmental and science educators, this conference will provide an opportunity to forge new partnerships, learn from each other and grow the impact of conservation and environment education around the state.
Conference sponsors include the Nebraska Alliance for Conservation and Environment Education, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center.

This conference will be an opportunity for anyone in the conservation, environment or informal science education field to network and build community. Tuesday’s keynote – Renae Sans Souci, Cultural Educator and Contractor will focus on the intersection of Nebraska’s indigenous community and environment education. Concurrent sessions include presentations on climate education, afterschool programming, early childhood programming and innovative programs designed to reach new audiences. Wednesday’s workshops and field trips include the opportunity to visit the newly renovated Schramm Education Center, learn to engage audiences in birding without binoculars, learn about nature journaling as a tool for teaching science, insect investigations and using computer games to teach conservation.

The conference will also have an opportunity for individuals new to the conservation and environment education field to be paired with an experienced professional…. Or for experienced professionals to volunteer to be a mentor. Individuals can indicate their preference on the conference registration.
