The AIM Institute (AIM) was awarded a grant totaling $54,000 from the Google Data Centers Fund of the Tides Foundation to develop two IT academies for 9–12 grade students at Council Bluffs’ Thomas Jefferson,Abraham Lincoln and Lewis Central High Schools. Students work in teams or alone to create capstone projects which include a variety of mobile applications such as:

·         Nebraska & Iowa College Finder Application

·         Online score site for local high school games

·         Eight ball and Hangman games

·         Career finder

These programs are held on the Iowa Western Community College campus and met for two hours every Thursday evening for twelve weeks.
